The drawstrings and elastic sleeves are a big plus

Bought these for a multi-generation family trip to Disney World. Kept us dry during some brief rain showers (there were a couple or 'splash' rides that I wished we packed them for on a different, sunny day). You do have to be careful that things don't poke through and rip the material, but most of them we are able to reuse. The drawstring hood and elastic sleeves provided better protection and made it much easier to move around and see where your're going. I would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Designed for all body sizes and shapes
Cons
  • The poncho may not be suitable for use while using public transportation

Elastic around the sleeve ends and draw-string hoods make these far more useful and comfortable than similar looking ponchos I've tried in the past. The bright colors are fun and helped us to easily keep track of all family members. Good value!

Pros
  • Trendy design, stylish for any age group
Cons
  • The poncho may not be suitable for use while sitting down or in a seated position

Best rain ponchos I found

We live in Florida and get lots of rain. I got these for walking my dog, and for Rainey days and water rides in theme parks. These are the best disposable ponchos that I have ever bought. They are long and come down almost to the ankle (I am 5’7”). The sleeves are cinched so you can raise and move your arms freely without getting them wet. The hood has a draw string you can tie so the hood stays on when windy. The neck opening is not huge so your torso stays dry. I loved the adult/kids pack…

Pros
  • Provides peace of mind and ultimate comfort when outdoors
Cons
  • The poncho may not be as effective as an umbrella in moderate rain showers

Good isolation gowns

We bought as emergency isolation gowns due to COVID-19 and believe they will function well for that purpose. They will be hot during the summer but we only need them on for an hour or so on a call so that shouldn't affect us too badly.

Pros
  • High level of flexibility when moving around
Cons
  • May not provide complete protection against wind chill
