Looks great on paper, but is lacking in the real world

1. Background info: I have 2-3 Mindshift Gear Rotation Packs along with one of their newer traditional photo backpacks and I have a lot of Think Tank gear. Bottomline, if anything, I hugely biased towards MIndshift Gear / Think Tank.2. Bottomline Random thoughts: Yes, on paper, the specs on this sling bag are impressive, however the practical use, although ok, it's just that ok. re: Build Quality: Excellent. On the other hand, because it's built so well and the fabrics are waterproof (or…

Pros
  • Great bag for my Olympus EM1 plus 3 lenses =/- battery grip battery
Cons
  • Awesome bag, great quality, but needs more padding in the shoulder strap!

Outstanding Sling Bag

This bag is very similar to the outstanding Think Tank TurnStyle 10 sling bag. I needed a lightweight, comfortable bag for the smallish Micro Four-thirds Olympus/Panasonic system for use while hiking, riding bikes, motor cycles, horseback, etc. The TurnStyle 10 fills those needs well and is often used as a general bag. The bag only weighs 1 pound, is super comfortable - which are big pluses. Yet there are two things I would have liked in the design – a way to carry a water bottle and a way to…

Pros
  • Unisex Adult
Cons
  • The carbon gray color may not appeal to everyone, and may clash with certain outfits or accessories

Uncomfortable bag, can only use one shoulder

I have had this bag for 2 years and have used it pretty consistently over that period of time. This is one of the more frustrating purchases I have ever made as I really wanted to like the bag but it's just terrible. My main concerns are that the bag is quite uncomfortable under almost any load (e.g. just 1 camera with an attached lens). In addition, the strap is asymmetrical so it can only be worn on a single shoulder so there is no opportunity to switch sides to give one side a rest.

Pros
  • Camera fits with zoom lens on and holds the essentials. Lightweight too. Glad I bought it.
Cons
  • Painful for your neck... You will regret buying this

nice build quality but uncomfortable with heavier gear

Got this for a gripped Sony A1 and 50 f/1.2, the shoulder strap padding is not enough and presses hard against shoulder bone especially if you are a skinny guy. it's a shame because otherwise looks nice

Pros
  • Bags & Cases
Cons
  • The placement of the pockets and compartments may not suit the individual needs of some users, requiring them to adjust their packing style
