Stay Put & Chafe-Free: Undersummers Women'S Ultrasoft Lace Slip Shorts (S-4X) Review

I'm a full body woman with heavy legs and love to wear summer dresses. I've been searching for years for something like this that doesn't slide up in summer heat, as split slips ALWAYS do on me. And the design is brilliant---the leg seem is in front of the thigh and not between! I bought two, and assure you they are worth the expense.

These are very comfortable and don’t roll down my waist like most! I went with XL because I was not looking for tight fit. They fit perfectly. I’m between side 12/14 in pants. Going to see if there are more colors I can order. My favorite under skirt short!

Undersummers shortlettes are the most comfortable piece of clothing I own. They are NOT compression. The fabric is soft and smooth and breathable. The lace at the bottom of hem keeps them from riding up. The lace at the waist is smooth, soft, and not at all binding on creases. They do the job of preventing the thigh chaffing and they are so very comfortable. I've purchased five pairs so I can wear dresses with cute sandals all summer! I highly recommend this garment!

I do not have words to properly describe my love affair with these shortlettes! I wear skirts and dresses constantly, throughout the entire year. I really liked that these shortlettes did not create a bulge at the top or at the bottom of the leg hole openings. They work great under my semi-tight professional black pants that I wear to work. No more chafing between the legs! I think they would also be pretty under a dress since the leg hole openings are a pretty lace. Initially, I liked the look of these shortlettes. They were soft to the touch, but a little thicker than I thought they would be. The lace is pretty. When I tried them on, they felt less stretchy than I was expecting. They aren't really shape-wear, but they also aren't just a pair of lingerie shorts. They're somewhere in between. These are fantastic. Indespensible. I keep re-ordering and now have six pairs. I wear a 16 and the XXL is a tad loose in the waist, but very comfy. The XL also fits good and snug. I also own a large from when I was more of a size 14. I like owning varying sizes for days when I feel bloated. These are great for under dresses. These are the only slipshorts I have been able to find that don't ride up on my thighs and I feel like I've tried them all. I bought 1 pair last summer and then many pairs from other makers AND various powders, sprays, and gels to control chafing. After an entire summer of experimenting, I bought 3 more pairs of these because they simply worked the best. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because the lace isn't delicate enough to not show through some fabrics.

No chub rub! they don't ride up or roll down my tummy! I'm wearing dresses again for the first time in years! I have a black pair and a white pair, love them. It does seem that they did get a little hot while I was wearing them all day outside in 85 degree weather but I think that was to be expected, still would not trade these for anything! These had a really comfortable waistband, fit perfectly to size (a medium for my 150#, 5'6" mommy-of-five tummy) and not too hot, but unfortunately they were useless under the Lularoe jersey skirts I wanted them for. There is a strange seam down the center of the thigh (not the inner thigh) that showed through the more form fitting skirts I had. So if you're planning on wearing these under a tighter skirt, try another brand. Otherwise I'd recommend them for their comfort and lovely smoothing…

They are a nice concept, but they fall short of being good enough for me to keep. I sent them (2 pair) back. The pros (for me) they are cute, and they are a good length. What I didn't like: The fabric is too thin and wont last for the price point. If you at all have a booty, these are not going to give you coverage. If I were to size up, they might cover my full booty, but be big everywhere else. I purchased XL, I am a consistent size 14/16 in jeans.

I went up a size in these because I normally wear an XL and I got an XXL. I wanted them to fit more like bike shorts and less like shapewear. I love that they are mid rise and not tight on my belly. The looser fit could be because I bought a larger size but the mid rise below the belly button fit is difficult to find in my experience. They are A lot longer than most slip shorts so I can’t wear any thing above the knee with them. I am 5’5” and about a size 14

I have upper thigh chafing issues & therefore own several pairs of under garments similar to this. Usually purchased cheaply at Ross, TJ Maxx & the like. While they work I actually like these more. They are slippery so skirts & dresses don't get *stuck* like they do on some other material. They come high enough on my tummy to feel comfy & not leave things hanging out. These were a lifesaver on my recent trip to Italy. It was abou 85 degrees – too hot for pants or capris – so dresses were my go too. With all the walking we did, I wore these under my dresses. My thighs would normally have been bright red from chafing. but i felt ike I could walk forever with these on. So lightweight.I went up a size because things like this usually run a bit on the small side. If i ordered these again I would buy my normal size.

I ordered 4 different brands of this type of clothing/slip and this one was by far the most comfortable. Liked it so much I ordered another pair in a different color.

These undersummers are fantastic! Yesterday I wore a dress without wearing a shaper; I can't remember the last time I was able to do that. They were a perfect fit and I was very comfortable and confident. There was no restriction in moving or breathing, and they kept me much cooler than my spanx. I was worried about lumps and bumps, but surprisingly it was no problem. Even though they are not meant to be used as a shaper, I still looked and felt great. This might be the best purchase I've ever made. These slip shorts are invisible under my jeans, and they prevent the chub rub I get at the top of my thighs when my pants start to sag a bit. Since summer has rolled around I was having that issue more and more frequently and needed a solution ASAP. I wear a size 14-16 in pants and bought a large, but could probably almost go with a medium because they do roll down a bit at the waist, on occasion. I will definitely be purchasing more of these!
