Unstable performance ruined my shots

As a result of using this product, I found that it did not stabilize my GoPro footage the way I had hoped. Despite several attempts to adjust the settings, my shots still came out shaky and unusable. The grip also felt flimsy and uncomfortable, making it hard to hold for longer periods of time. The only benefit was its compact size, but that was not enough to make up for its poor performance.

Pros
  • Provides smoother and stable footage for GoPro Hero cameras
Cons
  • Requires additional purchase of mounting adapter for non-Hero cameras

Just to be clear, this is by no means a Steadicam and a serious DIY enthusiast could almost certainly build something similarly capable himself by putting a handle on a ball socket tripod head and a suitable counterweight. However, don't expect too much for the price. The major downside to this is that it takes more hands than the average person to use effectively, combined with a very light touch and many hours of practice [complicated by a desire to just throw it at the nearest hard…

Pros
  • Not just usable for its intended purpose
Cons
  • So far so good

To be honest I don't see how some reviewers could reconcile the Curve Stedicam with the Hero 4 and a top mounted LCD monitor. Increase vertical inertia and decrease oscillation frequency by lengthening the pendulum. The result was even more disappointing and the curve kept pointing the GoPro in random directions. Device. In short, this is a useless gadget, which is a shame because the choice of materials and build quality are excellent. I've found that when using a very long selfie stick, I…
