Durable, with good water control system.

Looks very solid. I had an Advanced Elements shower that I gave to a friend and I needed to replace it. It worked well, but I think I like it better. The screw water control seems safer than the retractable one when kept in my car so I don't accidentally catch, open and flood it with water. I've never been with anyone else, but I've always worried. 4 gallons is a lot and it's heavy, so I don't usually fill it up all the way, but it's nice to know I can store a lot of water. If I can't find a…

CAMPING MUST HAVE!

The reviews on all of these shower bags are pretty fuzzy so I struggled to pull the trigger but I'm glad I chose these. As a first-time hiker, the ability to shower when needed gave me peace of mind. When I finally decided to try it, I filled it with water first thing in the morning and set it on a sunny surface for a couple of hours. I tested it from time to time and you could feel the bag getting warm. When we used it the water had no pressure (obviously) but the water was actually hot and…

Don't trust them they aren't made the way they used to be

My family has been using one of these Stearns bags on the trails for the past three years. Since it holds up much better than other branded bags, I decided to buy another one. I bought this well in advance of our hikes so I didn't have to scramble at the last minute. I cleaned and dried it and used it for a 3 day trip. After that I dried it and got ready for the next trip. We filled it with water and found the valve was leaking. No matter how tight it was, it still leaked. These things aren't…

4 gallons is enough instead of 5

I like the off-center screw cap. it seals well and is difficult to twist. I recommend users who leave it hanging for long periods of time to use a 3/4" oak dowel that goes through the entire top rather than the included flexible PVC tubing. The screw nozzle is a little painful to open and close with soapy hands, but that doesn't mean it doesn't leak. The tube will detach from the body of the bag if you pull it hard enough. I recommend gluing it in place and using a longer hose. than the…

Started glitching after 20 uses but service is quick

Pros: Holds 4 gallons, more than enough for two showers. It heats up quickly, so the water temperature reaches over 100⁰ between 10:00 and 12:00. The Bad: There were two pinholes at the bottom of the bag that I sealed with tape. This is after a month of using it three times a week. The tape lasted about 2 weeks. Also, the plastic under the handle started to peel off the bag. We had hot weather with air temps in the 90's. Two or three times the temperature of the water rose to 114⁰ before I…
