Great cord for accessories!

Soft, flexible, reliable. Much better than 8mm Sterling FLEX cord, which by the way is NOT flexible/soft but like foil.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Accessory cord in Utility Cord

I was disappointed because I ordered a cord with a picture (red and blue) and blue markings on it. When it arrived it was blue and black. The item itself was of good quality.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Modern

Good Cord - 100% Nylon

Interestingly, nowhere in the description or on the Sterling website does it say what the cord is made of. In the packaging, it came in the specified nylon core and nylon sheath.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Quality

MBS is wrong

MBS is listed as 17kN. The resulting product has a weight of 12.3 kNI. He emailed the seller and said Sterling had downgraded all the accessory cords and that indeed I received the correct product. The correct product would be 17 kN.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure if

Ideal for anchor building.

I divided it into two 20ft sections and one 10ft 20ft section which I converted into four top rope anchors or multi pitches. Auxiliary and will probably be PAS. It's certainly overkill for the purpose it serves, but I like having a chunky 7mm cable in front of me when hanging straight off a cliff.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, it's ok
