Part Number: STM32F3DISCOVERY. The STM32F3DISCOVERY helps you to discover the STM32 F3 series Cortex-M4 mixed-signals features and to develop your applications easily. It includes everything required for beginners and experienced users to get started quickly. Based on the STM32F303VCT6, it includes an ST-LINK/V2 embedded debug tool, accelerometer, gyroscope and e-compass ST MEMs, USB connection, LEDs and pushbuttons. STM32F303VCT6 microcontroller featuring 256 KB Flash, 48 KB RAM in an LQFP100 package, On-board ST-LINK/V2 with selection mode switch to use the kit as a standalone ST-LINK/V2 (with SWD connector for programming and debugging)

Not worth it for computer projects

This single board computer didn't live up to my expectations. While the overall design was nice, the performance was lackluster when it came to running computer-related programs. The one positive aspect was that it was easy to set up. However, the cons outweighed any benefits. It was slow and often crashed when running more complex applications. Not recommended for those looking to use it for computer-related projects.

TI MSP432 is better

IDE and documentation are not good compared to TI MSP432, STM32Cube can also be replaced by Code Composer Studio's own GUI programmer.

A good introductory board for STM32F3

As a development board, this board is quite good. It has a nice group of parts to evaluate the chip and set up some basic I/O like SPI, I2C, USB or GPIO. It is also nice that ST-Link is integrated on this board. I was able to get the project code working with this board while waiting for my other boards to build. I wish the pre-installed ICs were easier to turn on or off like the SPI lines on a gyroscope. Also, having ST-Link on the board will make the board bigger if you try to implement a…
