Love this set of 6 glasses. They appear to be fairly airtight and have a snug silicone seal around each lid. The bamboo is natural in color but has been sealed to prevent liquids from penetrating the wood. One observation is that the glass appears to be quite thin. I'm nervous they will break if not handled with tenderness. I would have preferred the glass to be thicker so I don't have to be as careful with it.
