Strathmore Bristol 2 Ply Smooth Sheets Review

An amazing paper for deep, rich shading of colored pencils. The only complaint is that it doesn't have engraving to get the paper out and it can be a bit of a hassle to keep the lid open while painting. Still 5 stars for the price.

I used this paper for drawing with colored pencils and it came out very smooth and realistic. The paper is so smooth, with no teeth, that it cannot be layered or polished. I suggest "Bristol - Vellum" for this as it has a small resentment against it.

Very hard smooth surface. Good, heavy, thick enough so it doesn't wrinkle or warp. Perfect for pencil or pen drawings, the pencil blends amazingly well as it's so smooth you can pencil/eraser it countless times without damaging the paper. It just looks prettier the more you work on it, and you can always erase it back to white. Does NOT work with pen markers! (I use Prismacolor. You were recommended this paper - bad idea!
