very good paper.: kraft

I like this paper very much, I draw a lot with graphite and ink and this paper serves me well. I recommend the product and would buy it again.

Pros
  • large selection
Cons
  • poorly thought out

It's best not to show any traces of erasing

The 400 series is the best because it erases bits. Highly recommended for professional artists whose work is widely known. High quality product!

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Too much paper waste due to the way it's bound

I've been drawing on this paper for years but when I started selling commissions I realized I couldn't sell about 5 pages of it - because the glue stuck up or the side is torn very little. From 15 pages it's a big loss, so unfortunately I won't buy it anymore. Otherwise thin paper, just don't use with wet media, switched to heavy watercolor paper.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different

This is Bristol Smooth, not Bristol Plate.

Nice paper but the name is (at the moment) misleading. I messaged Revain about this but the title says it's Bristol Plate but it's actually Bristol Smooth. The quality is good but it wasn't what I thought I bought it. Again, paper is great (for graphite work, which is what I do), but I wanted to point out to others that paper is a smooth surface, not a board.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • unreliable

I love the Strathmore papers!

I have always used medium weight 300 series paper for my portraits but wanted to try something with a smooth surface for finer detail. This paper is wonderful. Much heavier than the 300 series (which weighs 80# and has always been great) and slightly whiter but not brilliant white. I honestly don't know which shade to choose. After over 30 years of drawing on 300 series paper, it was exciting to try something new. I was happy with the end result and will continue to use it for small portraits…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things
