There is no "Pro-Strength " here

If it's "Pro Strength", it's alarming. It's no better than regular duct tape. I expected something thick and strong but got thin and dubious. If you want really strong duct tape, I recommend 3M Extra Heavy Duty Duct Tape 6969, Gorilla brand duct tape, or (preferably) Gaffer Power "POWERSTEEL" duct tape. Otherwise it's just old duct tape that you can use for secondary purposes.

Tough tape, durable

I was looking for a strong tape to stick the plastic liner to my underground floor to block a major source of radon. The tape attaches plastic films, seals objects, such as a PVC pipe. It's in an uninsulated basement under part of my two story home so has been exposed to sub-zero temperatures for the past few months and still seems to be holding up well. Otherwise, which were used for general purposes, there have been no problems so far. Signs taped on to steal poles, repaired a tent in the…

About the best I've found

There is a difference between many brands/types of tape. This is an exceptionally strong and tear resistant version. I use this tape to seal boxes of heavier items that I ship through the APO system, which is stressful to say the least. I've never had one of those seams that I used to seal with this tape. There have been a few instances where the box has burst but not the tape. Be aware that it's stickier than most and comes off the reel with a little more force than the cheaper brands/types…

Serge Storms asked me to post this

I'm here to say that duct tape isn't just for air ducts anymore. I couldn't survive without it. I can't say enough about duct tape. One of the earliest versions was developed by the good folks at Revolite in 1942 (according to Wikipedia, who the hell knows?) and was later widely adopted by the military and NASA. He even helped save the Apollo 13 crew (wow!). I like duct tape for its sound deadening properties when focus and stealth are a priority. But don't skimp, because inferior brands are ea

Excellent tapes

I bought this tape a few months ago and have used it on several repairs. It sticks to almost anything you want to use it for. I used it to wrap styrofoam tubes around the trunks of some of the small dogwood trees in my yard in the spring as the neighbor had apparently abandoned a pet rabbit in the neighborhood and he liked my yard. After eating most of my flowers, he began removing the bark from my dogwood trees. I wrapped the barrel in styrofoam tape and took it off about a week ago. The tape…
