18 months Common Rust

The step is sturdy and works perfectly, but the powder coating leaves a lot to be desired. Within 12 months the step began to rust in places and within 18 months of purchase it was becoming so bad and widespread that I had to take it off and rewire the wheel, re-prime and repaint any rusted areas. Very poor preparation at factory prior to powder coating. Otherwise I would rate it much higher.

Great Step Cargo Trailer Step

This step is as low as it is (3 inches) from the frame. Installation is a little tedious as the holes and frame are not aligned in this case, but I only drilled the holes where necessary. The CTC frame beam is 16 inches on center, but the trailer tongue support cross is in that area and I was able to use them as well. The step looks high quality. I weigh 200 pounds and I can jump on it and it's very stable. I trust it will stand the test of time.

We cannot use this step and the time for RETURN has expired.

We bought this for our church wagon. The long story was that we didn't receive the van as quickly as promised due to a mechanical problem that the seller fixed. The step was ordered in the hope that it could be changed to order. We met with several companies doing similar work and ended up concluding that this step should not be used. The return deadline was January 31, 2019 and today is February 7, 2019. We're disappointed that this step didn't work, and we're also disappointed that we can't…

Pros
  • Replaces every step on the market
Cons
  • Not the best

It would be nice if they re-powdered the step after work.

It would be five stars if it came from the factory. At the bottom two parts are cut out and re-welded. It would be nice if the step was powder coated afterwards, now it's just bare metal. You will need to purchase primer and paint to temporarily protect the stage from rust. It's fine, but powdercoating is far more durable than paint, and I don't have a powdercoating oven in my garage. Do not hang it so far that it will not be damaged when driving through the forest. I hope the seller will…
