The sterling silver clasp was tarnished on arrival. I find I have to frequently polish it with a dry silver cleaning cloth.

My daughter has wanted a set of pearls for several years and these are nice inexpensive but beautiful pearls. I was actually pleasantly surprised and so was she. Disclaimer: i know nothing about pearls. My mom head a long string of fake ones and a short necklace of real ones (much like this) and I never saw much difference in them at all. She did, though. The pearls were highly uneven in shape, some of the pearls were scratched and the clasp was scratched, and chipping. That's my feedback.
