Hose clamps strip out when tightened

When I tightened the hose clamp over the hose I initially didn't tighten it enough to withstand 45psi so I tightened it more, then the ribs in the hose clamp failed making the connection looser than I started. This also creates the risk a complete clamp failure where the water pressure will forcefully eject the hose from the connection.Additionally, even though the rubber gasket was fully seated in the female connector I had a leak with at least one connector.

Pros
  • US STANDARD 3/4" THREAD FOR A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS - The female thread adapter and male thread adapter are US standard 3/4" thread, and suit for 3/4" standard threaded which has a wide range of applications such as outdoor faucet, garden hose, hose splitter, filter, sprayer, sprinkler, nozzle, timer, etc.
Cons
  • May not be as effective in repairing hoses with multiple tears or punctures

Quick simple, seems sturdy. Better than plastic

I liked that there were 4 sets to the bag. They seem solid and being brass I expect they could be reusable. They fit my 1/2" hose well. Hard to find 1/2" size. Everything has gone to 5/8 or 3/4". Time will tell how they hold up. I really like the 1/2" hose I am repairing, so I di not want to replace it.

Pros
  • These are holding up great after a couple months of use. Good quality.
Cons
  • May add unnecessary weight to the hose

Good Quality hose repair parts.with one exception

Overall these are good quality hose repair parts. The BIG drawback are the included clamps. the clamps included with this kit are simply inadequate for the intended use. The "nut" on the clamps is some obscure metric size. that doesn't have an exact fit within a typical metric socket set, and having a slotted screw head in this type of application is pretty useless. I either broke or stripped ALL of the included clamps with the first hose repair I attempted. (with higher hose/water pressure…

Pros
  • I purchased to resell to my landscapers and greenhouse customers to fix hoses.
Cons
  • Brass components may tarnish over time

Fast shipping. Easy to install.

Bronze ends will outlast the hoses. Then can be re-used on another hose if needed. May order more to replace aluminum ends that tend to oxidize and ruin connectors.

Pros
  • This is a simple install and no leaks.
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with non-standard hose sizes

This product leaks.

I was using it to repair a drip line, but there was more water flowing out of the repair point than thanthe drip line. Requires tools to install, which some users may not have.

Pros
  • Solid brass
Cons
  • Requires tools to install, which some users may not have

These are the real deal

The local big box stores stopped carrying solid brass hose repair items. They carry light weight aluminum plated to look like brass or plastic ones that don't work well. And they charge more than the brass ones which will last for many years. We have a large yard and have hundreds of feet of hose. The factory ends are usually the weak point and for years I used solid brass repair kits to keep the hoses in service. When the hoses wear out I can still remove the used repair kits and re use them…

Pros
  • Good product - got the pieces needed for hose repairs - easy to use
Cons
  • May not be able to repair hoses with large tears or holes

Quality Product, Good Value

Easy to install. Tip: Slide worm drive clamp onto hose end first. Soften hose end in microwaved hot water. Lubricate inside hose end and fitting with petroleum jelly.

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • May not work well with hoses that have been coated with anti-kink or anti-twist materials

Worked great, but remember that brass means it'll leach lead.

My contractor used it to repair my hose. It is much better than having to buy a new hose and waste all that material. I highly recommend using this instead of buying a new hose. Also, the lead leaching is true of many garden hoses, which already come with lead connectors, so maybe no big deal.Sam SchaperowPsychologyCT.com

Pros
  • Noice !
Cons
  • May not work well with flexible or collapsible hoses

These fittings do the job

I got these fittings because of the price. I knew they would be a little less sturdy than the ones I used to be able to get but I was happy with their performance. Just don't tighten them as much as we did in the old days. They should be fine for your needs.

Pros
  • Hose Connectors & Accessories
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with drinking water

These are the Best ive found

These are well made of solid brass. The included hose clamp works great on my 5/8" water hose, but I changed it out to a 3/4 Inch PEX Cinch Clamp Ring just because it's less intrusive.

Pros
  • High quality repair kit. No junk.
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand harsh weather conditions
