I have expensive hoses and sometimes they get in an argument with my lawn tractor. Lawn tractor wins and I need to repair a break in a 100 ft hose. These are high quality ends and I use ends because I now have length options you do not get with just a link repair. I have several 100 ft hoses and have repaired all the leaks with this kit and good quality washers. have 5 200 ft hose reels to cover all my yard. back in biz no leaks now!

I was looking for an easy fix for some old leaky hoses. When searching products, one common complaint a continued to find on other similar products was the quality of material. The fact that these are made with solid brass is a massive difference in quality. Definitely a good buy!

I destroyed the hose end trying to get one of these in a 5/8" hose. So I cut the hose again and kept trying. I wet it, oiled it, hit it with a hammer and it barely got on after many many tries. It was a highly time consuming and physical effort that I will not repeat. Looks like it might fit ok into a 3/4" hose but I have not tried that yet.

These work well and seem to be high quality. You can use 3/4 pex clamps instead of the hose clamps provided to make a cleaner install.

saved me from having to buy a couple of new hoses. Had to use lube to get the ends into the hose, does not leak. May not fit snugly on certain types of hoses.

These fit fine on the hose. They come with clamps to hold them on tight. Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks for attention.

Since I have both sizes, I bought 2 sets of these, one set for 5/8 hose and one for 1/2 inch. I was able to repair all four of my hoses and have plenty left over if I ever need more. All for about the same price as one cheap hose. I wish the hose clamps were a little beefier or if they gave you double so you could put 2 on each barb but one seems to be holding for now.

Cheapest hose clamps I have ever seen. They are like toys. You cannot get them tight enough to not leak. I have to use 2 hose clamps on each fitting, and even that is not reliable. And now I have to buy more hose clamps—real hose clamps.And the male fittings have no hex making it difficult to tighten on garden hose fitting. Definitely find one with hex.

I got both the 1/2" and the 5/8-3/4 parts. The half inch ones measure at 0.51" so should work great for that. But the others measure at 0.71" which is too big for my 5/8" hose and couldn't fit. They are also probably too small for a 3/4" hose and would leak. I suspect these are made to some metric size and they hoped they could sell them into the US market without making something correctly.I'll also mention that the many edges on these parts are quite sharp and can slice your fingers, so…

Ordered this set because it's solid brass. Needed new connector ends for 50 ft rubber hose, and this worked great . secure, and water doesn't leak.

Brass fitting is solid but you cannot tighten the hose clamp enough to keep the end on without destroying the clamp. I would still buy the item for the fittings though and replace the clamps with a better one.

These would work if the clamps were the proper size. The clamps I received were too big and thus do not create a tight seal with the brass part. I happen to have a huge bag of clamps from other projects so it worked out for me. I would have preferred the items to work with the included parts.

Worked like a charm on standard hose. Could not get it to repair collapsible hosing because it had different connecting mechanism.

The threads on both male & female replacement work fine on my older hoses. I tried their clamps, but as someone else commented, I too switched with a higher quality clamp. I have always had good luck with non-metal replacements, but this year I have yet to find the 2 or 3 name brands, which I have used in years past. These will sure beat tossing good hoses.

This brass hose end is for the smaller diameter hose so beware of your purchase. It’s a great product but make sure you have the right hose end.

Made of brass, not plastic or nylon. Seems sturdy enough. Ask me again a year or two. Should outlast the soaker hose I repaired.

These are great and very affordable. I am using them for custom length soaker hoses. I do expect the clamps to rust though.

Solid brass. Just as described. Installed easily. And was leak free. Had everything needed to complete the job including the rubber washers. Was much appreciated. And the delivery time was excellent.

The fittings themselves look fine but when I installed one of the 1/2 males on a hose I was repairing, I was not able to tighten the hose clamp as much as I generally do, since it kept slipping/stripping out. I was a design engineer for 4 years and we used stainless steel hose clamps often. I don't remember ever having this happen, even when I tightened them far tighter than I did with this hose clamp. Of course the ones we used were made in the U.S. or were made in Japan to much higher…
