Nice for a last resort

I already have two of these in the shop and two more in the garage in case something catches fire while working on the cars. Good investment, cheap insurance. FYI, it's fiberglass so don't play with it unless you need it, it'll itch.

Well prepared

The fire blankets I received were exactly as described and they arrived a day early! I keep one in the kitchen for emergencies and put the other in an emergency prep kit I'm building. I hope I never use either, but it's nice to be prepared.

Nice to have: Camping & Hiking

I've always wanted one of these fire blankets. It's nice to have peace of mind and be safe. These blankets just seem to be faster/less messy when the time comes and they can be used on people too. The advantage of fire blankets is that they do not have an expiry date. The downside is that it's a one-time use only, which is a big bummer. You also need to be close to the fire. It would be nice if it included gloves because it's fiberglass.

You should have heat resistant gloves; Plus, it's fiberglass, doesn't feel comfortable

This blanket is fiberglass. I can't pull it out to inspect closely and I can't test it as it would be potentially dangerous to start a fire to put it out and also a waste of time as these blankets are intended to be throw away and only be used in emergencies. All I can really do is hope they work well when the time comes to use them. However, I was disappointed that heat resistant gloves were not included. I have another similar blanket and this blanket came with gloves. Of course, you don'tโ€ฆ
