We should have bought these boots a few months ago! My son's football boots smell SO HORRIBLE! These nice smelling orbs are just what his boots need! Baking soda absorbs odors. The bullets just hold it so it doesn't get into your shoes or whatever else you're trying to deodorize. They do their job well. They are durable enough for repeated use.

This is a good size for most adult shoes. The degree of deodorant can be adjusted by turning the ball. I put them in a new pair of leather boots (I don't care about the smell of leather) and the next morning I still smelled the leather, but not as much.
