Bright color - ideal for Trapunto

Metal threading is extremely difficult for most people. And even worse is trying to sew with cheap metallic thread. I prefer Sulky although it's more expensive but I find the quality of the threads and the vibrancy of the colors to be better than other brands. I like it for my trapunto work.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Requires socket

Great product to add to yarn for shine

I am new to crocheting. I wanted to sew a summer scarf for the bride. Couldn't find the right yarn. I connected the yarn with thread to give the scarf such a cute shimmer and shine effect. I look forward to seeing it glitter in the sun and then shimmer in the night light. With this product I was able to achieve my goal.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Torn

Easy to mix: yarn and floss

I mainly use this yarn to mix with another color in a small area to add sparkle or shine. This works very well as a secondary thread on my embroidery machine. They have to slow stitches per minute, but they rarely snap or tangle. Again, this applies to small areas, not so much to large ones. Even the best machines don't want to run dual threads for long periods of time. But this thread works very well.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Love these threads for the metallic look!

I really like these holographic threads from Sulky. If you've ever tried using metal thread, you know that it can be difficult to work with and tends to snap when pulled through fabric. These threads are not suitable because they are uncoated, smooth and glide well. through the fabric. I love the effect when they are sewn close together and overlapped with a zig zag stitch. Really handsome!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
