I bought this bag to carry light items when I'm downtown, on campus, or even on a hike . I used it about every other day for a week and definitely didn't overdo it, and it started happening. Both side pockets are already worn - in one the elastic insert is completely exposed. Also, the part where the strap connects to the bottom of the bag wears out and will no doubt break if I keep wearing it.
