These work really great!

Really surprised how well it works. Turned on both porch lights and they worked way better than I thought they would. Bought an extra (3 total) just to have. It's hard to find one of these settings that has time lag and motion sensitivity settings.

Pros
  • Hands Free automatically turns the light on when you enter the room and off when you leave the room
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works for cabinet: sockets

Documentation leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not entirely sure how well the ambient light controller works. have less range. A tiny adjustment equals a few minutes. For my purposes, however, the device is well suited. A lightbulb comes on when I open the cabinet it's installed in, and the light goes out shortly after the cabinet door is closed. There is almost no ambient light in the closet I'm using the motion sensor in, so I don't know how much it affects the ambient light.

Pros
  • Works with incandescent or fluorescent lamps up to 60 W
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Look elsewhere despite the low price

This product was a big disappointment. It had an extremely small angle of presence detection that didn't even come close to the advertised value. I couldn't turn on the device without getting within about 3 feet of it. I have a technical background and have worked to make this work better. I installed the light in a garage with an interior door about 6 feet from the ceiling. I removed the device and replaced it with another device I bought at a national hardware store, which has worked well so…

Pros
  • Senses movement in all directions within a 360 degree radius.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
