They are very strong when properly aligned. Others point out that they may be too strong, but there is an easy way to reduce/adjust the magnetic attraction. I simply put a small piece of thin cardboard between the actual magnet and the chrome cup on one side (not the ball side). When you unscrew it from the wall, it separates easily. I found a piece in it, that's all I needed.

We used them to fit some doors on the back of a van. I was looking for a way to keep the door from closing in the wind when loading/unloading. They were durable, easy to install and did the job. The magnet is strong enough to hold the door but light enough to close it when you're ready. They'll work just fine indoors, too, but they look a bit commercial (which I'll replace with plastic one day).

This is amazing! I personally installed it myself (women with a set design background) on 3 doors around the house, one front door and two interior doors. The quality is fantastic, strong magnetic connection, weighted and durable. I marked the details on the wall and door to mark the locations for the screws. To ensure alignment. I then installed one side first and rechecked the alignment before installing the second piece. They work like a charm and look stylish and modern. Highly recommended!
