Christmas gift for my mom

I gifted these to my mom who is 90 years old and always cold, her last blanket died so I bought her these and she loves them. It's warm and soft for her and she uses it all the time so it gets a lot of use so we continue 6 months and it's still going strong.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Update availability

Good for cold weather!

This is my first electric blanket and I love it. It has a cute pattern, three heating modes and an auto shut-off after 3 hours. I really wish the quilting was a little softer to the touch and the high temperature setting was a little hotter too.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • It worries me

Evet's greatest short-lived quilt

Loved these quilts. Bought two. One broke after three months. I had to buy a protection plan. Contacted Sunbeam support. I hope to be able to replace the blanket. I suspect a broken cable. The remote just nods red. You have to disable it for it to stop.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Bad product - electric blankets

I've bought several of these from different companies and they seem to last about a year, after a while they don't heat up like new out of the box. to get about a year off them before the heat is barely warm I don't wash them so I assume the internal wires will break due to normal use even if you leave the unit plugged into the outlet but the control switch turn off completely if under anything - something gets hot so it doesn't seem safe to me so I always unplug it

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No insurance
