GOOD PRODUCT! Got it for my daughter's birthday.

AMAZING PRODUCT! Got this for my daughter's birthday, we made donuts yesterday and she loved it (she's 12), we made donuts with pancake mix and they were great but a bit dense so I recommend using cake mix or mix for Donuts. Beware the donuts are not life size, they are mini but they are great!

Pros
  • Something Above
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Fast and easy! - Small household appliances

Prepare donuts quickly and easily. I totally cheat and just buy my cake mix and some icing, make donuts and have no problem. I've made all kinds of cake mixes - chocolate, strawberry, white, and rainbow - and they've all turned out well. I always have to punch holes, but it doesn't really matter. This thing is easy to clean and makes donuts really fast. I can usually make about 30 donuts for 1 box of cake mix. I spray nonstick spray on the stove and cook. I just wipe it off when I'm done…

  • I hold my fists

Works best in electric cake and mini cake makers

Bought based on reviews and were not disappointed. I made the first one with cake mix and reduced the amount of liquid. Although they are very tasty, they taste like cake. A good recipe for kids, but a regular donut recipe is much tastier. The brochure says they're to be filled just below the mark, but I've found that they barely touch the top plate, meaning they're not browned. However, I filled the second batch to the top and a little more and they were perfect. I also used a gallon plastic…

Works perfectly! fits mini donuts

LOVE this donut maker. It's very easy to use and works great - the donuts cook quickly and are easy to remove, and the surface is easy to wipe clean after cooking. I've also experimented with muffin mixes etc to make muffin "donuts" for a fun breakfast - some mixes add up to a minute to the usual cooking time, but it's still quick. My favorite recipe so far: a box of butter recipe, yellow cake mix with a teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, and nutmeg (I don't add butter so they're healthier yet still

Easy to use, GREAT for kids

We bought this for our 7 year old as a Christmas present. She loves it. It's easy to use, right out of the box. Donuts can be 2 1/2 inches tall and are perfect for kids. The donuts cook quickly, actually look like the box (never seen before) and taste great! We did NOT use the recipe, it came with the machine. We used boxed yellow cake mix, used 1/2 cup LESS water than the recipe calls for, and let it thicken for a few minutes (MUCH easier to pour into the machine!). The first game lasted a…

There's nothing like fresh donuts

A while ago I bought a retro Salvation Army donut maker - brand new in a $5 box - called the Daizy Donut Factory (or something like that ) and it worked pretty well for a few years. I believe it was in the early 1970's when I learned how to make donuts with this device through trial and error. When the Daizy Donut Factory started to wear out, I replaced them with these. This works really well and I kept Daisy's recipe book as the recipes are excellent. But there are tons of recipes online that…

Good donut machine

I bought this donut machine for my daughter's birthday. She loves donuts and I needed an excuse to buy her! First, if you are looking for fried donuts, you are buying the wrong product. This machine makes BAKED donuts. I thought about buying donut molds (similar to cupcake molds) but after reading the mold reviews I got concerned that donuts don't have the same "cook" on both sides. I like the golden donut. The first thing that struck me about the car is that it's really cute and has a…
