Not impressed: Portable AV

It was in the box for just over a month before I stumbled upon it. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT I can only get 1 radio station on the AM dial and none on FM. That's with the antennas up and I was at home (not in the middle of nowhere). I'm giving it two stars because other things seem to work. Now it's time to get an exchange or refund and I don't have the working device I paid for! :(

Sunglife Emergency Portable Weather Radio

I think this Sunglife emergency weather radio is essential for emergency preparedness. It's great to keep at home or in your bag. It features solar battery charging, handle charging, and can also be powered by 3 AAA batteries. It has AM, FM and NOAA weather radio. bright LED flashlight and emergency SOS siren with flashing light. It charges itself and can also charge your cellphone and other devices. Visit the Agitter Outdoors website for a full demo of this radio at camp. I give this product 5

Good suburban reception

I recently bought another emergency radio that I liked but was having trouble picking up NOAA stations. I had to add a long piece of wire to get reception. I live out of town and the radio reception is terrible at best so I figured my radio would do its best to pick up the station. But I saw some videos online praising the performance of this radio and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I can pick up this NOAA station with no extra cable and even indoors where the pick up is even worseโ€ฆ

Great little backup radio with solid battery life

I ordered this radio and tested it very thoroughly. I've always wanted an emergency radio and it fits. The crank produces 6 minutes of work for every 3 minutes of running. It seems like a lot, but there just isn't much power in the hand. The solar panel is pretty slow, but it did the job. 3.5 hours of charging gives about 3 hours of radio use. Again pretty fair considering the size of the panel. What struck me was how long the battery lasted when I fully charged it via USB. The first chargeโ€ฆ

Lots of great features for the money!

Excellent solar powered emergency radio! I've wanted it for a long time and it doesn't disappoint at all, apart from a few quibbles. I live in an area that gets frequent power outages during severe weather and I've been wanting to get one of those cheap plastic NOAA emergency weather radios for a while, but just couldn't imagine paying $30 for one, that much more for the money and even comfortable/fun during my summer hiking/camping and mushroom hunt. Yes, I know I can use my cell phone to getโ€ฆ
