Good buy: wood conditioners, waxes and oils

Large volume really is better than 1 gallon. Get a wholesale discount. The empty barrel is still well used as a bucket and container. I'm fed up with the accumulation of empty liter cans. BUT: casting is a bit tricky; You want to aliquot smaller batches for direct use.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Upgrades

There must be something good for wood conditioners, waxes and oils

Just use as many coats as you need. Looks great. You can always add a layer of ultra-expensive UV protection, but this would make the perfect base layer. Another application. All my wood tools were coated. Forget expensive clear coats and paints for large outdoor applications. It is the ideal primer for bare wood before painting with water-based latex paint. oil paint too. Old painted wood can look new even if it isn't cracked or chipped. Has shine. Never peels and is inexpensive. Necessary.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good value for money - wood conditioners, waxes and oils

Best value for money. 1 gallon is around $30 in big stores - this is a real money saver if you are planning a larger project. Got this for the deck outside - looks great so far! Emphasizes the grain very well, looks very natural. Just "wet" the wood all the time, which I like. They apply it with rags. However, make sure you handle the rags properly. You'll get really hot! Apparently, the concentrated solvent left in the rag can self-ignite as heat is released upon exchange with air. A bit like…

  • Decent performance
