Reviews about it are excellent. So maybe I just got a lemon. But I would NEVER recommend that to anyone. I tested it at home on the counter when it arrived and it worked fine. We took it on a four hour car ride with two kids under 5 and within minutes it started skipping discs, freezing or not reading. I never like to give negative reviews but it was a half trip EXTREMELY wrong with 2 kids crying looking forward to watching movies on it.

Bought to watch DVDs at night without waking my husband and son. It's the perfect size for me to sit at my desk and watch movies. The only problem I had with it was the power supply. The battery life is very short. You can't even watch a movie before you have to connect it to the network. The cable length is also too short. It barely reaches the top of my table.
