Just as good as the dollar store

At first I thought they were better than the crappy picks I always buy at the dollar store. They felt "more substantial" - thicker plastic, more durable to the touch. Lo and behold, after about a week of light use, everything falls apart, just like the cheap ones. How hard is it to get them to stay together? Oh wait, if they did, a mop would last forever and they'd all go broke. Talk about planned obsolescence! How much plastic ends up in our oceans and landfills from products NOT specifically…

Basic cleaners with sponges and sticks

These are very basic cleaners. They are easy to clean in the dishwasher and do not chafe. We usually buy them at our local farmers market where a very nice old lady knits them (I'm a knitter and I still don't know how) and sells them. $1 each) they are significantly more expensive and not as comfortable. A typical round nylon dishwashing sponge; Food can get stuck in the mesh, but it works

These are the typical nylon dishwashing sponges commonly found in the mouths of kitchen frog keepers. They're not my kind of scrubbers, but they get the job done. I tried them on my dishes and they cleaned and scrubbed great. I noticed that sometimes leftovers got stuck in the strainer and I had to rinse them out.
