We are gradually replacing all of our plastic bowls with glassware. The lids are plastic, but still don't leak or snap. Easy to clean, but time will tell if the lids can maintain their leak-proof condition and avoid stains. It will take a little time to acclimate, take two or three at a time and go. Wow! That is hard!

Great size, big enough to hold something valuable but not so big that it takes up space in your fridge. (I live in New York, so this is a relatively small fridge). Real estate is important! The lids are very well designed. Other types don't have hinges and over time the plastic will weaken. They are articulated so I expect them to last a lot longer.

I have had glass containers shatter or shatter when placed in the microwave immediately after being removed from the refrigerator. However, these containers have proven themselves! Food is no longer thrown away and is much easier to clean than plastic.
