Excellent wire, works exactly as advertised. It twists easily to secure and the twist holds up well under weight. The plastic coating made of fine stainless steel strands protects the wire and last but not least your fingers. I expect the plastic to keep the wire clean over the years and that is important to me as most of my hangings are on a picture rail and the wire is exposed. Reason for purchase was to tie all my garden tomato cages together. At the end of summer, when my tomato plants get big and full of tomatoes, strong wind storms can knock them over and break the plants. I have found that if the cages are tied together and then tied to a spiral (dog) pole, they will stand upright in inclement weather and prevent damage to the plant. I have tried twine, nylon rope, garden ties etc in the past but none of these have worked properly or broken in high winds. Picture

I love this soft coated picture wire. Much better than bare wire and it takes me a long time to turn the whole reel. I already had a size #5 roll, but it was a bit thicker than I need for most of the artwork I hang, so I went with this size #4 as well. It seems perfect for most things , which I and they make something easier to manipulate. I wish I had searched and bought this many years ago. As an artist I have spent a lot of money to have my work framed and/or hung. I've seen small packs of hanging wire with D-rings packaged for a single hanger - about $4.99 each. So I took my work to the Hobby Lobby where they translated it for $1.00. They then rose to $1.50.
