Supersonic SC505RD MP3 Boombox Radio Review

I bought this box for my daughter and she loves it. The sound quality is acceptable at low volume, which is what I like. There are no problems with the CD player.

I should have paid attention to other reviewers who said their radio died after a few months but I thought they might have a faulty radio. Well me too. I only used it to play a lullaby CD in my daughter's room at night. No other heavy use. Stopped working after 2 months.

I bought these boom boxes to be easy to use while sitting on a shelf in my preschool classroom. I've only had it for a few weeks and it's already not working properly. The keys stick or the song doesn't start, the programming function never worked. My suggestion to others is simple: don't buy this. As a teacher I had to buy it with my own money and it doesn't even work properly. darn.

I bought this for the kids toy room upstairs. While you can't expect the sound quality to rival a more expensive stereo, it does its job well. Doesn't sound "tinny" like some people do. My 3 year old daughter loves to put in her own CDs, turn them on and press play by herself. We had no trouble skipping CDs like some of the prettier, kid-friendly alternatives on the market.
