Extremely sad :( in Notebook Accessories

I was really looking forward to this product as I needed Ethernet, a portable docking station and some extra USB ports. I have a Surface Pro4. 1- As soon as I connect, I get a notification that it's not working properly (Error) on the screen, it even went off.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Can't remember

Didn't live long, stopped working in two weeks

Worked like a charm. All I use my Surface Pro to do is stream video 2-3 times a week. I revised my drn and moved my wired router to a location where the wifi in my room was weaker. I bought this device and worked like a champ for two weeks. , then it stopped detecting my wired router by itself. Reboot, Shutdown, Response, Diagnostics, etc. Nothing. I found the USB connection I plugged in, it worked. I don't need it and I wasted my money.

TOTAL SHIT good for laptop accessories

A few days later I gave a 3 star review. However, after using the item several times, it became absolute junk. I plugged it in before booting Surface Pro 4 and sometimes it worked. More and more often it did NOT work at boot. Sometimes reconnecting and/or restarting made it work. But that also happened less and less the longer I used it. I would not recommend anyone to buy it for a Surface Pro 4 system. I haven't thrown it away [yet], but it won't be for long.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Functionality

. for some time. Then the HDMI port no longer works to communicate with external screens, forcing me to use other settings to connect to external screens, so I'm very disappointed. I don't know if they will release a fix to fix the problem or not, but when I bought the Surface Pro 5 last year there weren't too many economical options, so I bought it. It was GREAT, and Lately NOT. Although USB ports seem to work fine.

Pros
  • . great for me
Cons
  • . Empty.

Good all round port expander

I was delighted to purchase a powered expansion hub for my new Surface Pro 6. This device has all the features you would want to add to your Surface Pro. I connected a wireless mouse, a USB hard drive, a USB DVD burner and an Ethernet cable to this expansion port. I was able to easily burn DVDs from ISO images stored on a connected USB hard drive. This device can be a good desktop dock for your Surface Pro. I especially like the easy-to-insert connector that connects to the Surface Pro's USB…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Minimum quality, HDMI not fully functional

I like the idea of this product. It has plenty of ports that the Surface sorely lacks. I was most interested in the HDMI connection as I make several presentations with short embedded videos. Unfortunately, the HDMI port on this device only carries video and no audio, so it was useless for the main purpose I needed. The product is lightweight and has a minimally satisfactory build quality (not great, but ok). Buyers should be aware of the Surface model they are buying for - the ports on newer…

Cons

Great for docking stations

Well at the moment it's just a very expensive 3 port USB hub. HDMI doesn't seem to work, the monitor is detected but doesn't display anything, just flickers at a refresh rate of 59. The monitor works fine with other Windows 10 systems, with Dock or Surface Pro 2017 it's something, but like The whole reason, The Reason I bought the docking station was to use a monitor, for me it's basically useless. Update: The seller contacted me a few days after I posted this. and seemed to want to fix it. I…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

As a port replicator, this device seems like a good idea, if not entirely flawless. As mentioned, my Windows 10 Pro Build 1803 keeps bugging me with endless "Last USB device not recognized” warning messages. If they can fix it, it will be a good compact port replicator. Port Replicator is connected to the USB and DisplayPort ports, you must also connect a power source. You must use at least two power plugs and two sets of cords. I'll just use the bulky, heavy, but versatile official Microsoft…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled

I have a Surface 6 with a UAG cover. The UAG is a great protective case, but renders almost all portable docking stations useless as the cover houses the USB and video ports. Separate connections here solve this problem. I've used this with external USB drives and HDMI monitors with great success. This is an external power outlet that is not normally needed unless your USB accessory draws a lot of power. I have a partner who uses an external USB monitor that requires a power supply. You need a…
