No Heat - Accessory

I bought this item to protect my telescope lens from dew but it doesn't work. On a 45 degree night, the heating strip felt cool at maximum temperature. If it doesn't even get warm at that temperature, then it's even more useless when it gets colder. This is the 40cm version.

They work well with telescope and microscope accessories

I am very impressed after the first use. Dew removed from my 2" eyepiece. I had my viewfinder fogged and then put the strap on it. After 30 minutes the dew was gone. Hope they hold up. Definitely worth the money and significantly cheaper than others. Straight with the battery pack Connected and never in the way.Updates when problems arise.

Works great but the cord is too short

They work great with a small battery but the cord is too short to reach the power adapter under the floor mount. By using USB 2.0 it doesn't get warm. Using USB 3.0 is slightly better, but it's not enough. If the cable was twice as long as the more expensive ones I would give 5 stars. The price is great, but on sale.

  • Nice to use

Works as advertised. Good dew heater.

This dew warmer offers good dew protection. It can be used with any 5V USB power supply, but I would recommend that what you use must be at least 1 amp. With a 1 amp power supply, my 22mm panoptic eyepiece was completely dew free at night when the temperature dropped to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. It should fit most large eyepieces, but if I have any complaints it's that it's a bit shorter to work twice. Mandatory on small refractor lenses. Construction and materials appear to be of good quality and

Not sure about telescope accessories

I bought this heater for my NexStar 4SE Goto telescope. The flick is good for OTA but to be honest it doesn't seem that hot to me. I plugged it into the computer's power adapter and USB port and it never once got as hot as I thought it would. Unfortunately, heaven would not allow me to test his work in the field. One thing, however, is that the controller is too short (or near the end of the cable). To be really useful you really need a USB extender, unless you like constantly bending over to…

Ideal budget option

I like that this is a USB powered heater, not an RCA. The steering wheel ranges from barely warm to hot to the touch. I tried plugging it into my 12V USB port but it didn't work even though the battery was advertised as 5V. Instead I connected my power bank to my cell phone and it works like a charm. I placed my power supply on a tripod stand and it's long enough, but the cord isn't very long so you can get a USB extension cord for it if you want it to reach a lot further than the ground…
