It was nice for our child. We take him to his room when we put him to bed. The nice thing is that you can choose what song plays, how long it stays on, what color of light you want to project (if it has one), and the volume. However, there are 2 things worth mentioning. Like many other comments, this toy is very noisy. Even on the quietest mode, it's too loud to sleep with a baby. If they have it on their dresser, or at least a few feet away from it, it's fine.
