This is one of those old technologies that solves a lot of the problems plumbers face. It has a long cord, it's made of brass, you can use it to beat up students. Works well.

I have worked as a line worker in the utilities industry my entire career. Very nice lot, got lots of compliments. It's funny when other people at work insist on using your plumb bob.

Looks well made. The replaceable tip is a handy feature. Also does what it should. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on American products since I don't use it very often. But when you need it, you need it.

I use door brackets (ordered here from Revain (EXPR Premium Door Install Kit) and a decent plumb makes door installation easy. You can also use a spirit level but 6ft level is a serious investment when you only have a few doors to hang. With an installation kit you only need one side plane and the plumb bob won't lie!

. Otherwise works great in windy conditions and situations where you can't see the laser or use it to plumb walls. Works better than laser in my opinion. Ideal for windy conditions. Tuck that tip in once you throw some Vulcum at it and you're good to go. A must have for any serious framer joiner and will set you back big bucks once you know how to use it.
