The plastic guide that holds the blade doesn't lift up like most other paper cutters but works well. Easy to use once you get used to the slight difference in performance (for those who have used a different brand like Fiskars in the past).

This paper cutter is lightweight and easy to pack for travel or to store in a desk drawer. However, the blade used to cut paper is very weak and tends to snag and tear the paper instead of cutting it. This is not what I expect from Swingline and I hope they improve their design.

I chose this paper because of the Swingline brand. It works quite well without taking up too much space when not in use. Two cons however and the only reason I am rating less than 5 stars. First, it does not have a guide wire to align the cuts to the side edges. I solved this problem by making small cuts around the edge first, but that may not work depending on what you're trying to cut. Second, sometimes it can get stuck on the paper, especially when you try to cut multiple sheets at once. I…
