Won't cut cleanly

Won't cut cleanly on thicker paper. It leaves a small crest and small villi. The zigzag haircut didn't work at all. He just tore up the paper

Very disappointed.

The description says "The SmartCut trimmer makes straight, wavy, perforated and notched cuts as you turn the dial." I only bought this for the puncher, I already have a trimmer that does cuts. This particular product only produces straight, wavy and splined. Very disappointed.
