My Dorco shaver broke from a weak spot on the razor handle where the metal clip enters the blade assembly; I dropped my razor in the shower and it broke immediately. This is the fourth pen I have received; I've previously had two Dollar Shave Club Executive knobs and a Dorco knob that all broke in the same place (poor mechanical design; metal clip corroded over time). I have been a member of the dollar razor club for many years and I always drop and break the handles. I usually forget to add an extra descriptor to my planned orders, so it's handy that they are available. Dollar shaving pencils are cheaper if you're thinking of ordering them, but it's a lot more convenient if you need them in a few days instead of 1-2 months. It's durable and works great, I will inevitably buy it again and again and highly recommend it.

My son's original Dollar Shave Club handle broke after a few years and he needed a new one for his blade stash. New handles in stores don't match old blades, and an old handle like the one he had sold for over $20 on eBay. They are not even listed for sale on the Dollar Shave Club website. This SWIPE looked like it fit and it fits! The quality seems very solid. The pen has a certain weight, like the original. If you have old Dollar Shave Club blades and need a handle, this will do.
