Pads slightly thinner for thicker wheels. The pads that came with my 404 and 808 kept the wheels from spinning. I needed some grinding to get it working. Not a good result. As the name suggests. These pads are really good. I have several sets of Yoeleo carbon wheels and these pads are much better than the stock pads. The compound is much softer than the stock pads and offers much better stopping power with more grip. I have Bontrager wheels and Bontrager recommends their branded version of these pads, but I have confirmed with Trek that they are identical just without the Bontrager branding. My first set wore unevenly, but that's 100% my fault for not installing them properly. I had my LBS install this second set and they wear great.
