Quality ain't what it used to be

I bought this backpack to replace my 8 year old backpack of the same model. Looks the same, but the quality is much worse, especially the zippers. When my old one was stuffed, I could still close it. Now I have to align the zipper halves snugly and still struggle to move the zipper without feeling like I'm going to pull a tooth and render my backpack useless. You'd think that if a brand is going to rely on their reputation, they at least won't sacrifice flash quality.

Pros
  • The Comp-u-Flex computer case securely protects your 16" widescreen computer. Dual zipped compartments hold all your stuff
Cons
  • No color required

Strange design, good for laptop accessories

First, it looks very well made! Useful, but a lot of valuable space is wasted for my application. The front zip pocket is sewn at the bottom but hangs from the top with two adjustable straps. This forms an open-topped pouch for things to fall out of. Also, if there is weight in the front zip pocket, the two tether straps will be pulled to the top of the pack, making this zip very difficult to use. Had I known this guy was deigning I wouldn't have bought it but it came at the last minute as I…

Nice but bigger than it looks

Excellent backpack. It's well done. lots of pockets and places for things. It can accommodate larger 17-inch computers. What I didn't expect was its depth from front to back. It's very big. I measured on my old backpack and used it when ordering. on the floor (which was a tie for me initially) posed an issue. The floor gives the backpack depth when I'm carrying it on my back, which is less appealing to me as I use the backpack to carry my computer to and from to wear from work. I made the…

product counterfeiting. Best in backpacks

I bought one of these last year and it's already worn out. There are two small tears on the back of the backpack. Very disappointed. I had one 8 years ago that I took to work twice to Hawaii, twice to Cancun, 4 days a week and after 8 years it had a bit of wear on the bottom and that's because it was mostly on that side. I photographed the difference and why I think this product is fake. The label on the back is different because not only are the shoulder straps longer on the original, but…

The latest version of a classic design that's over 15 years old

The fact that I can still find and buy a new version of this backpack is 15 years after it impressed me in 2006 has is a testimony of his perseverance. The Wenger SwissGear Maxxum 16" laptop backpack is a popular backpack that has literally hundreds of positive reviews on Revain alone - and you can find it under slightly different names. Back in 2006 I was trying to find the "perfect backpack" for Finding the travel lifestyle from hotel to hotel - with multiple laptops, 3" binders, travel…
