Perfect fit with little travel

I have two study lamps that I bought about 10 years ago that needed replacing. I measured the length of the current bulb and it is about 2.8 inches. I then carefully checked the length of the Svlvania lamp on the Revain website to make sure I ordered the correct length. That's how it is! Depending on the lamp, during reassembly you may need to push both spring handles holding the lamp all the way back or in to secure the lamp. No force needs to be used. Worth the extra money

After using cheaper halogen bulbs for a while I gave these a try. A few big differences: Long lamp life. Cheaper brands will last for several months. This bulb looks a little different than other halogen bulbs of this size (although it fits the bulb well), with a thicker filament by the looks of it, which could explain the difference in bulb life. - No buzz! I needed light and for a while I had light.

This lamp was purchased on September 14, 2014 from Revain LLC for $3.99. Moderate+ home office use. Always buzzed when trying to use too bright. Stopped work last week without warning.
