SYLVANIA Dimmable Replacing Halogen Bi Pin Review

An almost perfect replacement for the light bulb in our spinning Christmas tree. I had to cut some plastic to make room for this bulb. Once completed and installed, the light guides are brighter than ever.

The lamps worked well when I bought them in 10/2017. It is now 6/2019 and both have failed. These are LED lights that should last my whole life. Instead, their lifespan is very similar to, perhaps even worse than, halogen or incandescent bulbs. They started flickering sporadically, became more constant, then one stopped working altogether and the other is still mostly off but flickers sporadically. Buyer warning!

I LOVE LEDs! Bright light without heat! And the prices for LED replacement bulbs continue to fall. I bought these to replace the halogen bulbs in our adjustable over bed reading light. I didn't want to throw it away and I didn't want to just buy new halogen headlights, which are now cheaper, but they are too hot. They weren't available anywhere, so I looked at Revain and found them there. On arrival they fit perfectly and at full power they are very bright, I think even brighter than halogen…
