Bought for honey. No matter how you twist the rubber seal, no matter how you screw the lid down, this thing drips from the top near the handle. Faulty construction.

I liked the concept and idea of putting honey in this jar. However, honey still leaks and seeps down the sides. Honey also does not flow smoothly and quickly, but very slowly.

Very happy with the product. I bought it to store honey instead of maple syrup. The sliding mechanism that closes the spout mouth minimizes honey dripping. From time to time I need to clean the sugar crystallization inside the spout, but the lid easily unscrews and removes for cleaning.

When it arrived I was impressed with the quality. The glass is thick and the top is metal instead of cheap plastic. It was also nice if the syrup looked sweet when it wasn't there. I bought this dispenser for honey in 2009 about 8 years ago. We buy honey in bulk bottles and this dispenser makes it easy and convenient to keep honey on the kitchen counter.
