No bulletin board!

I spent $60 converting two old blackboards and whiteboards into bulletin boards in the back of the classroom. Unfortunately they do not hold a clip or pin as shown in this product description. I was very disappointed that I hung this, but it's useless. I had to attach the posters with hot glue which makes swapping out the billboards only possible when I'm ready to replace the fabric background and frame with hot glue and velcro circles which takes hours. Also, I tried inserting a pin and a…

Not suitable! The cork breaks when the pad is removed.

Bought this sticky cork to line a shelf. Unfortunately, the paper backing was so firmly bonded to the thin layer of cork (less than 2mm thick) that it was impossible to remove the backing without tearing the cork. I tried to hold back the tears and continue applying, but as soon as I applied a few inches to the shelf, the cork broke in two. See photo. I'm a very smart/smart person and followed the instructions (as they were - no special handling of the fragile cork was mentioned). I used the…

It is NOT easy to use if you need to trim it to fit!

At first it was difficult to operate through no fault of the product itself. If you can use it at that size it will work perfectly for you because you can just roll it out. Especially if it's a countertop or an area that you can freely linger on. If you need to cut it and then style it to perfection, then this product is not for you. There are two reasons for this: the adhesive is very strong, making repositioning difficult; and the cork is very thin, so you can't grab a corner to pull on it…

Useful product but old roll

I bought this to line kitchen drawers and it's perfect for that. My only negative comment is not related to the product itself but to the fact that the roll I received was obviously quite old as it felt more fragile than it should and I had a hard time getting the backing off the adhesive edge remove. One piece had the cork edging partially crumbled along the edge (I only removed a 1" strip of backing to secure one end) as it was stuck to the backing for no apparent reason. I used a new utility

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons

Completely disappointed.

The material wasn't easy to work with because cork is much stiffer than "normal" contact paper, but with a little help it was quite easy to work with. If you're working alone, take the advice of a user who has smoothed it out for a long time. Glue was enough. I used a ruler and an exacto knife on a cutting mat and for the most part all went well although there were some rips and tears. So far I haven't had any problems with moisture in the boxes it was applied in, so I can't comment on that…
