No Compromises: Caravan Parts & Accessories

You have chosen this item because you need a strong outer casing and socket and this combination may be less expensive than both alone. You wonder what is too cheap or poorly built. I can happily report that I didn't feel like I had compromised. The base is solid, the body is well built. I recommend it if you don't need to plug in one of those giant RV cables with a bulky handle. As others have said it has enough room for most forks but some oversized forks will not fit.

Pros
  • Ease of Use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It turned out to be perfect. I'm an electrician who turns a lot.

We did a lot of research on 50 amp RV outlets because we live near the beach and need something sturdy. It turned out to be perfect. I'm an electrician who tightens the grommets (screws on the back of the socket) but they didn't come loose like the cheaper options. The metal case or case is thick and strong and has many holes for wall mounting. The cover is difficult to remove for assembly, but it's good for us because the wind on the coast is very strong.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No performance

Very good 50A case

Good, rugged NEMA 4 case with cut outs on the back and bottom. KO fits 1/2" wire. I only have 2 complaints about this unit. First, it is very tight inside which makes working with 8 gauge and 6 gauge wire fed from the back a makes real wrestling..Secondly, the case has a nice thick paint finish. That's great, but the size of the lid is such that it doesn't close all the way without pushing the latch or something.I know these are minor imperfections and usually this applies to everyone protected…

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Very strong metal body - ideal for connecting to a 50A van

This large socket is perfect for connecting to a van on the side of your house. Ordinary 12 or 20 amp sockets can easily be dwarfed by a trailer with countless attachments such as charger, refrigerator, water pump, air conditioning and so on. We asked an electrician to run a 50A wire and use this box to connect. It's very similar to what you find at campsites. The only difference is that this case only has room for the outlet, not for the fuses. As such, you will typically want to provide power

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
