There is nothing to complain about with this Tandy.

There's nothing to complain about with this Tandy Leather Beveler. This is a standout product from Tandy and a must have in any leathercrafter's tool belt.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Nothing here

It will cut. in Leathercraft

My mistake, I thought it would be a little different. I'm trying to use it to bevel the corners of a soap. Not the best tool for the job, but it works. I'm giving it a 4 because it should come with a protective case that can be used when not in use. VERY SHARP. open blade.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Tradable

Simple but effective

I bought this skiver along with a strap cutter to trim the edges of my straps. It works well and the spare blade is a great option that will make the tool outlive me. It has the least tendency to "bite" the leather when you are not holding it at a right angle, but when you place the leather on a workbench (or other hard surface) and slowly and evenly slide across it. , works well. For only $6, no complaints at all.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Very good but not perfect skiver

A very good value skiver not meant to be the holy grail of skiing. Anyway, he's very good. The reason it's not perfect is that the blade isn't solid in its setup and I'm having a hard time getting a nice, clean cut (even with a new blade). But with a little effort it always works. Now I use a small Mora knife for mowing and it suits me. However, I still pull that bad boy out sometimes.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Great way to cleanse your skin!

I stumbled across an industrial grinder and went through the arduous process of removing old lead paint and restoring mechanical components to working order only to find that it was far from what I needed. This is a beautiful work of industrial art from the Lost Machines era. But I still have to thin the skin. Use this simple hand tool that gives me complete control over how to thin and sculpt my skin to fit my needs. The blades are easy to change, although this requires frequent blade changes.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
