suitable for hiking for camp kitchen

I only took Spork with me on the trip. I don't know why you need a spoon and fork. in this product they have the same shape. Don't let the size fool you. It was MUCH easier to eat freeze dried food out of the bag and have the tool in my hands. You don't have to dip your fist in the pouch to eat with the mini spoon. A great idea!

Durable stainless steel is best for cookware and utensils

It's a little heavier than alloy and may not suit some campers but perfect for a bag or kit. Stainless smooth textured bow with textured grip. Comes with a small green carrying case. Some have complained that the fork isn't sharp enough to hit. That's true, but I think it was intended more for mountain house-style dining where a spork can pick up noodles.

  • Superb construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Bad design is best for camping and hiking

This is a great example that you get what you pay for. I'll say the spoon is decent, but the spoon is a joke. The teeth that make up the fork are short and flat. You have very little room to poke and lift anything. Unfortunately I have a solution: use the spoon and repurpose the spatula to scoop and dig human hummus. It might not even be that good. There are better ways, don't repeat my mistake.

Economical long handled camping/hiking cookware

Good price for a long handled spoon and spatula. Long enough to reach the corners of dried packaged foods without getting your hands dirty. The length also helps keep the heat off your hands while cooking. Durable - Withstands the use of multiple Boy Scouts on a picnic at an Alaskan camp. Not as light as titanium but you get 2 for less than 1 titanium fork. The included pouch for storage in the package is a nice touch. I added a little switch to make it a little more useful. Featured!

Great set for two

Nice Mt House Cutlery Set for Two - Beautiful and sturdy - Feels secure in your hand - Enough to poke treats into the bottom of a dehydrated cooking bag - Gives you an extra An inch or two so you don't burn yourself stirring your food - these items are 8.5 inches long and weigh 1.1 ounces each - by no means titanium, but the extra ounce is a nudge considering how much a long spoon weighs Toaks is worth those two though (I'm not picking Toaks - Keith, Light My Fire, Snow Peak and the rest of the

Go to the bottom of the grocery bag!

I no longer need standard spatulas, thin plastic cutlery and MRE forks! These stainless steel long handled spoons and spatulas are awesome! I can reach to the bottom of my Mountain House grocery bags to pull out every bite! I'm not a fan of long night hikes so the weight of this set doesn't bother me. (And they really aren't THAT heavy!) The spoon and spatula had smooth edges all the way around; no sharp edges or burrs. Comes in a nice green utensil bag and it really is a very durable utensil…

Beautiful very beautiful: Dishes & Utensils

I really liked that I got both spoons and spatulas with this set. The fork was slightly bent during shipping and needed the tines to be straightened out a little, and both needed the typical bending you see on a long handled spoon that was reinserted due to a slight flattening during shipping. The edges of both needed some trimming before use, but the 3M green sponge cleaned up the remains of the drill bits. They are very nice and comfortable to hold and have a good portion size. I used this…

NO, not as good as I first thought!

Bought these for use when we are out eating out of the car, fishing etc. They look very nice, heavy and shouldn't bend or break when eating out of the car. Bags in the mountain house. I like them because they are long enough to eat out of this bag. Looks good, feels good and I look forward to using them. Update 9/11/2020, DO NOT BUY these if you don't like the taste of metal. We've only started using them this week and after a few uses the handles are rusty (WHAT?) and they have a metallic…

Seems like a good deal but it's junk to be returned.

Poor quality, don't cut yourself on sharp edges! At first glance I thought they were ok, but upon closer inspection I found a list of cons. At first I noticed that the edges of the spoon and fork bowl might not be sharp, but I definitely didn't want to run my tongue or lips over them. At this point I decided I just used some sandpaper to chip the edges. Then I noticed that the spoon has a strange bend/bend where it meets the bowl and the handle (Photo 1). There is also a sharp edge at the end…

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
