Soft and 'comfortable' but not as durable as I would like

I recently bought this for my new HP 17 inch laptop. Although the computer fits perfectly, I was surprised at how soft the inside and outside was. I felt like my computer was (in a way) wrapped in a sock. While the fit was snug and comfortable, I didn't feel like the case alone offered much protection. difficult to explain. My computer just felt "vulnerable". I was also disappointed that almost the only thing you can put in a bag is your computer. If you want to add accessories (mouse, power…

Not the best choice for a 17 " Macbook Pro

I use this case for my 17" Macbook Pro, an early 2008 model I had a hard time finding a case for it, so I went with this one, partly because it got reasonable reviews and partly because it was pretty cheap. The case is a bit big for a notebook. When I put the laptop in the bag there is 2-3 inches between the edge of the laptop and the zipper. Also, the laptop is very thin compared to the space inside the case. In this case I could easily put 2 on top of each other. Width is ok. The quality of…

Pros
  • Proprietary checkpoint friendly design, opens and unfolds for TSA inspection
Cons
  • Very expensive

Targus Slip Case for 17 " Laptops

in the luggage. Before the airlines got twisted, I never had a problem using it as carry-on luggage. Now sometimes it is allowed as hand luggage, sometimes not, even by the same airline. Of course I don't want to use it to check my laptop if the bag is refused as part of my carry-on, so I picked this thin bag to carry in the trolley case. I just remove this sleeve and my laptop from it and slide the laptop into the sleeve. It's thin enough to slip into a wheeled suitcase and has minimal…

Pros
  • Patented SafePort air rod and convenient design for checkpoints

So quick and easy! good for bags, cases and covers

HOW: I have an HP9000t 17" HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (which I really don't like but this review is on the case, so ie listen here on.) It fits perfectly in the Targus CVR217 neoprene case I bought for $[.] with some room left.I can carry my wireless mouse and receiver, power cord and extra battery. It's easy to put the Laptop to protect from low and maybe medium height impacts but not from heavy falls like falling from shoulder to cement surface I usually use regular (not thin) Mobile Edge…

Pros
  • Extra compartment with well organized file storage
Cons
  • Style 90

TSS898 Pleasantly Surprised

I was a bit concerned about the lack of feedback on the TSS898 and the fact that the rating was below 4.0. But I'm glad I decided to order the bag. I was looking for a small case for my XPS15 and was struggling to find a small, thin case that would hold my laptop, power bank, and a few small accessories (such as a portable drive). This bag is perfect for those needs. The first thing I would like to mention is that the thickness of the bag is wrong on the Revain and Targus website. Looking at…

Not like before - choose another

I bought one of these about 8-10 years ago (should have been the same version) and it has held up all along , before signs of wear appear. And I used it almost every day for that time, took it on many planes, etc. D. I ended up ordering this one after the original one broke. It's been about 5 months and it's already broken. Even in an area that requires a lot of force - the fabric under the velcro in the pocket is 50-75% torn around, you can easily put your finger in the hole in the pocket and…

  • Comfortable padded nylon handles
Cons
  • Anything I can add
