Not properly processed.

The holes are too big, which makes the whole fixture deviate sideways when tightening the screw. I see others have mentioned this as well, so be careful. This affordable mount tilts your light or device about 10 degrees to the side.

costs money. suitable for camera and photography

I used these adapters for my LED lights with screen diffuser. LEDs are often so bulky that decent sized softboxes don't fit me, so I use umbrellas. They allow me to direct the LEDs more efficiently while maintaining an even spread of light. They are well built and come with a bolt.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Not the best but pay less

This unit works well but not the best quality. I'm used to using Manfrotto equipment which is precision engineered, lighter and stronger. Manfrotto is of course more expensive, but the quality is impeccable. They're cheaper, not as easy to work with, and I wouldn't buy them again, but they work. You get what you pay for. As usual, you spend less - you get less.

Strongly sewn for flash accessories

I had it almost the same, but from a different manufacturer. This is solidly made. It has an annoying feature, but that feature probably makes it more secure. To change the angle, loosen the angle adjustment knob a few turns. It feels like there are notches between the two halves to lock them once tightened. But it is safe after blocking. No hanging umbrellas.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

That's exactly what I wanted!

I use this mount to mount my Fuji XT-1 camera. I also put an arc clamp on it. It is built to withstand heavy use and features detents (like ARRI bushings) with every movement of the pivot. The clamping process works just like the C-pillar grip head I was looking for. This ensures that the swivel cannot move due to the force applied when tightening. I am very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits

A great deal just a mistake

Overall this product has great value, the metal parts are well made and it's easy to tell that they will last. I like the three piece design as it gives you a lot of freedom when working with an umbrella (that's what I use it for), the only thing I would like to see is that the handles are also metal or at least the better plastic they are not broken but apparently they are not made of quality material and as I use larger umbrellas in some cases they require more pressure (turns of the button)…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not trendy

I'm buying a second one because I really like it!

I came to buy a second one and decided to give a review while I was here. I am very happy with this adapter! The lighting kit I received didn't come with a softbox large enough to diffuse the light, and the company said that traditional softboxes weren't suitable for LED lighting, so I had to install something myself. I chose a U-shaped adapter so I can align the lamp and shade separately. It works great! I can tilt each in the direction I want and adjust how close and far the shade is from the

Functional

Not as good as a Manfrotto but works. It seems as durable as a Manfrotto. The tilt's action is "toothed" with positive stops, while the Manfrotto's action is smooth. In practice, this is a small problem. The supplied rivets are good. They look like brass to me even though the ad says aluminum. The grip that tightens the umbrella is not as comfortable as that of a Manfrotto. I read another review that stated that a screwdriver is needed to tighten the shield screw. I find it a little dramatic.

  • Suitable for holding a softbox or umbrella on a lamp stand and flashing from horizontal/vertical or medium and low positions
