The 'white on black' display is only hands-free readable under the most ideal conditions. Their accuracy is useless if you can't read them. Also, the cumulative overheat time calculation function cannot be reset without removing the battery. In my case removing/replacing the battery outside of the freezer caused the temperature to rise and the timer to start.

Although everything looked fine here on Revain, these thermometers are not that easy to read. The fact that the suction cup cannot be mounted on the back of the arm doesn't bother me either. It's useless if you want to hang the device above the fridge. The device is difficult to handle until it is warmed up. I have several thermometers that I use for different reasons. I bought it because I need exact measurements and small sizes. I have tested this instrument with known industrial grade instruments (TELL TRU) and it definitely meets the requirements. After owning this device for a short time, I bought two more for other similar uses. now it works as expected. Time will tell if it holds up for longer lengths in sub-zero temperatures.

The suction cup doesn't work. I cleaned the surface, the suction cup and coated the suction cup with a thin coat of mineral oil. The freezer worked well but the fridge didn't. It fell off and prevented my fridge door from closing, but luckily I found it before the temperature rose significantly. I think the best option would be to clean the surface, clean the suction cup and then attach it with super glue. great device, but the sucker sucks!

Digital thermometer works as expected giving good and accurate fridge readings. Two problems: 1) It's almost impossible to read the readings at an angle. You have to look directly at it to read it. Since there are no wire racks in my fridge, there is no way I could just hang this thermometer where you can see it directly. 2) The included suction cup hangar is useless. This is the only thermometer I've found with a timer that actually tells you how long it's been outside the safe zone, which in itself is amazing. In terms of accuracy it says what my fridge is set up for so that's a good sign, I wouldn't trust it for medical/critical stuff alone, should probably get something certified for that.
