Not suitable for electricians

Not suitable for commercially available round outdoor sockets. Only one screw could be screwed in at a time. The other screw hole did not match. The adapter also wasn't wide enough to fully cover the sides of the receiver.

Pros
  • Simple installation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Overpriced but it's the only game in town

It's really just a single piece of lightweight plastic with some sort of gum on one side. The price is prohibitive, but I couldn't find anything like this in any major store. I think I'm glad he's here, but I can't help but feel like I've been overpaid.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not bad

crap, it didn't work.

This adapter did not work. Firstly it didn't fit properly in the round box, the gasket never worked properly, it was misaligned by 1/8 inch which was enough to let water in. Second, it was flimsy, the hose didn't fit the GFCI socket I was trying to use. All in all it was very frustrating. I cracked it trying to install.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons

Doesn't fit in round metal weather box

Doesn't fit in round metal weather box I need it for. The plastic piece is almost big enough, but the foam gasket doesn't reach the rim, leaving a gap. Can't tell if it fits in a modern plastic box or not. The quality is normal - if it would fit I would use it. The product description does not indicate whether this adapter is only suitable for use with plastic boxes.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for outdoor outlets installed in round boxes

For unknown reasons, all outlets outside of my home were installed in round (lighting) junction boxes, so the outlets didn't cover them properly. These overlays made it possible (finally) to seal the boxes against water and insects, as well as to fit proper waterproof covers for the outside sockets. The price is really unfortunate for what they are (I was tempted to buy a 3D printer and make them myself) but if they are what you need they will do the trick.

Pros
  • Good marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative result available

. very hard to find I'm a little upset they don't make more versions of this

it was very hard to find I'm a little upset they don't make more versions of this. I wanted to take a porch lantern and turn it into a switched outlet so I could hook up some lights on my deck. It worked, but any outlet plates/covers probably don't close the gap around the outlet because it's so wide. . I had to put some silicone on the outside so I could protect the damn thing from the weather.

Pros
  • stylish and modern design
Cons
  • a little wrinkled

Doesn't work for sockets

I was expecting this to cover a round outside light box, one that will hold a porch or spotlight to replace the outside light with a socket on a switch. That didn't happen. There are no holes to attach the lid to the box, at least not the ones I have at home, and the lid was smaller even with the holes. The cost is really ridiculous. Hardware stores sell them in packs of 10 for about three times the price of a unit. Mine ended up in the trash.

Pros
  • Sockets
Cons
  • Without machine

Don't buy this but don't know what to do.

I was hoping this would replace some of the oversized metal covers over the fan, but since there are only 2 connection points (instead of 4) it doesn't seal. IF it was metal or some strong composite material it might work better or be a little bigger than a round box. In my case, it was a small hole between the siding and the gasket, but water entered the electrical box. Unfortunately I can't find any other solution. Considering the cost, it's not worth the money. You may have to make your own…

Pros
  • Electrical Boxes, Wiring & Fittings
Cons
  • No Instructions
